Florence Anne Stevens

Florence Anne Stevens, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 9th, 2025, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. Born on Sunday, June 1st, 1952, Florence lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

She was a proud graduated of Newark High School, Class of 1970.

Florence was the devoted wife of Roger A. Stevens, sharing 47 wonderful years since their Christmas Eve wedding in 1977. Together, they built a family that was the cornerstone of Florence's life. She will be dearly missed by her son, Roger A. Stevens (Shana), and her daughter, Lori J. Stuart (Cory). Her legacy of love continues through her adoring grandchildren, Roger, Julien, Josslyne, Elizabeth, and Dallas, her precious great-granddaughter, Nova; and her loving cat, Sassy. Florence is also survived by several brothers, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a circle of friends who mourn her loss dearly.

Preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Nora (Huffman) Wilkins, Florence carried their love and teachings throughout her life. Her warmth filled every room, especially the kitchen, where she found joy in cooking and baking for her family and friends.

An avid sports fan, Florence supported the Michigan Wolverines and Dallas Cowboys with passion and loyalty, often sharing the excitement of the games with those around her. Though her interests were many, her greatest joy came from spending quality time with her family, particularly her grandchildren, who brought endless joy to her life. Over the years, Florence also enjoyed going to New Lexington, Ohio to visit family and friends.

Her spirit, kindness, and love will forever be remembered and cherished by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will continue to inspire her family and friends.
