A graveside service, celebrating the life of Floyd Allen Williams, 80, of Thornville, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 19, 2014, at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, where he will be laid to rest next to his wife Freda.Floyd died Sunday, September 14, 2014 following a brief illness. He was born in Mansfield, Ohio, the son of the late Allen Richard and June Nellie (Pollock) Williams. He was a graduate of Mansifeld Madison H.S., served honorably in the US Marine Corps, and retired after many years as a truck driver for Consolidated Freightways. Floyd enjoyed hunting and was an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed gathering with his friends. He is a member of the Thornville Amvets and Moose Lodge.He is survived by his loving family: son Richard A. (Kimberly) Williams of Marengo, brother Paul (Barb) Williams of Panama City, Florida, sister-in-law Kay Williams of Avon Park, Florida; grandchildren Brandi (Joey) Hubbard and Courtney (Dusty) Lehman, 5 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Freda on June 18, 2014, and his brother Gary Williams.Please sign on to www.hoskinsonfuneral.com and leave a message of comfort for the Williams family.HOSKINSON Funeral & Cremation Service, Thornville, is honored to care for the Williams family.
