Forest "Tree" E. Mckibben

December 10, 1958 — October 16, 2024

Forest “Tree” McKibben of Columbus, Ohio born December 10th, 1958 in Lancaster, Ohio took one final ride to his heavenly home October 16, 2024 at Mount Carmel East Hospital surrounded by his family. Welcoming him with loving arms are his parents, Jack and Carol McKibben, as well as his infant brothers, Clark and Patrick. Forest was an avid motorcycle rider, muscle car enthusiast and collector of all things Native American. He cheered for his Buckeyes on Saturdays and his Steelers on Sundays alongside his loving wife and best friend of 38 years, Betty Snell-McKibben. He is also survived by his children Christopher (Shelby) McKibben, Cassandra Ratliff and Nikki (Jimmy) Gearheart. He was the oldest child and protector of his 5 siblings; Jacque (Chip) McKibben, Geri Michalak, Debbie Paas-Hunkler, Retta-Raquel McKibben and Walter McKibben. Being a Pawpaw to Brent, Gabe, Junior, Silas and Anne-Marie brought absolute joy to him as well as being the “fun uncle” to Matthew, Devin, Carrie, Cory, Tanner, Justin, Nicholas, Victoria, Camryn, Collin and Jack. His generosity to helping others and ornery nature will always be remembered. There will be a celebration of life in his honor on November 3rd 2024 from 2-6pm at Mt Zion Church located at 4810 Blacklick-Eastern Rd NW, Baltimore, OH 43105. All are welcome; just bring a covered dish to share and your wonderful stories for everyone to enjoy. We will have a private area set up in the sanctuary for those wanting to say their goodbyes in a quiet space while the food and memories can be shared on the dining room side. “In lieu of flowers, we have set up a GoFundMe to help with funeral expenses.
