A funeral service celebrating the life of Frances Ann Booze, age 86, of Newark, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 21, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Hughes officiating. Burial will take place in Hanover Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark.Frances was born August 23, 1929 in Andover, Virginia to the late Zachariah F. Wellsand Nannie K. (Statzer) Wells. She passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at the Arlington Care Center in Newark with her loving family by her side.For many years, Frances worked at LaPaloma and had also been employed with Dooleys Restaurant and Marne Pizza. She was a supporter of the Madison Township Fire Department and was a volunteer with the stations WCVO and WSFJ.Frances was a member of the Newark Church of Christ on OBannon Avenue and was a former member of the Licking Valley Church of Christ and the Marne United Methodist Church. A woman of great faith, Frances loved the Lord and demonstrated the love of Jesus in her daily life to everyone she met by her giving and caring nature, including fostering several children over the years. She loved to read her Bible and participate in the Card Ministry at the church. Frances was always on the go and enjoyed visiting friends, eating out and shopping. She enjoyed watching TV, listening to Gospel music, collecting angels and bearsand, as an avid bowler, participated in leagues at Valley Lanes. The greatest hobby that Frances adored was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, with whom she loved to spend time.She is survived by four children, Tom (Elaine) Booze of Frazeysburg, Gail Graybill of Dover, KY, Charles Michael (Marilyn) Booze of Millersport and Harry (Phyllis) Booze of Amelia; eleven grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Christian of Dayton; and nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles B.
