Frances E. Hedges, age 83, of Thornville, Ohio, passed away at the Autumn at the Lake Nursing Home on Saturday, October 18, 2014. She was born to the late William and Ada (Wynkoop) Fogler on June 5, 1931 in Tarlton, Ohio.Sheissurvived by her loving children, Sharon Brussee (Dale), Michael Hedges (Jane), Jerry Hedges, Debra Brison (Jerry), Beth Patrick (Robert), Mark Hedges (Johanna), Holly Holdcroft (Mark) and Christopher Hedges (Angie); 18 grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; sister, Marie Sharp; brother-in-law, Joe Sharp; sister-in-law, Janice (Paul) Grimm; and sister-in-law, Evelyn (Jim) Weaver.Frances retired from Health Nursing & Convalescent Center. She was a member of the Thornville United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Thornville Senior Citizens, the Perry County Homemakers and past secretary of the Perry County Democratic Women. She also was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Sheridan Generals, Cincinnati Bengals and Johnny Cash.In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Hedges; infant son, Roger Hedges; daughter, Deidee Hedges; and cousin, Loren Fogler.Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at the Thornville Chapel of Hoskinson Funeral Home, 56 South Main Street. Friends and relatives may also call one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at the Thornville United Methodist Church, 30 East Columbus Street.Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jeremy Shank officiating at the Thornville United Methodist Church.
