Frances L. Smith

A graveside funeral service, for Frances L. Smith, age 95, of Newark, will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Rocky Fork Cemetery, with Pastor Paul Martindale officiating. Frances was born in Licking County on February 25, 1922 to the late Vinton and Ruth (Davis) Holton. She passed away on August 17, 2017 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. Francis was a devoted homemaker to her family. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, crocheting, cooking and will be missed by everyone that knew her. Survivors include her loving son, James Jimmy Smith; brother, Bernard Holton; grandchildren, Travis Smith and Jeremy Farson; great grandchildren, Kaden Smith, Aris Smith, Breece Smith, Travis Smith and Genevieve Smith; special friends, Carley Campsey, Angie Carpenter, Alexis Athan and Tanaya McMannis. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Smith; son, William Willie Smith; and brother, John Holton.
