A Memorial Mass celebrating the life of Frances OBrien Pat Joliet, age 93, of Newark, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 1, at the Church of St. Edward the Confessor, 785 Newark-Granville Road in Granville with Monsignor Paul Enke as celebrant.Pat was born May 26, 1923 in Canton, Ohio to the late Robert E. and Ruth C. (Stephens) OBrien. She passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at the Inn at SharonBrooke, where she had made her home for the past nine years.Pat attended Lake Erie College in Painsville, Ohio. She married John Dueber Joliet, M.D. on May 8, 1943 and they moved to Arizona in 1971 where he opened a medical practice in Scottsdale. Pat was a stay at home mom and was very dedicated to her family, community and church. She was a Girl Scout and Brownie leader and was active in the Medical Auxiliary of Canton and the Junior League. An avid bowler, Pat enjoyed participating in league bowling.She is survived by five children, Jodie Joweki of Franklin, IN, Jennifer (Richard) Utrevis of Newark, Richard L. Joliet of Prescott, AZ, Dan (Patti) Joliet of Grapevine, Texas and Jeffrey L. (Terry) Joliet of Louisville, KY; daughter-in-law, Lacey Joliet of Casa Grande, AZ; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Frew of Chagrin Falls; brothers, Robert (Betty) OBrien of Canton and Richard (Jean) OBrien of Sugar Grove, IL; many nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Joliet, M.D.; and by a son, John D.
