Francis C. Bowman

A graveside funeral service, celebrating the life of Francis C. Bowman, 86. of Thornville, formerly of Mansfield, will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, June 25, 2012 at the Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, Lexington, with Pastor Ernest Grogg officiating. Full Military honors will be observed by the Mansfield Joint Veterans Council.Francis died Thursday, June 21, 2011, in Thornville, Ohio. He was born June 25, 1925 in Columbus, the son of the late Clarence W and Elizabeth (Stowell) Bowman. He served honorably in the US Navy during WWII and was retired from the flexible corporation after 20 years of service.He was a member of the Hebron Post of the American Legion and the Community of Christ of Mansfield.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha (Mathias) in 1997; and his brother Ralph and his sister Elnora Holmes.
