Francis "Frank" Grimm

Francis Raymond Frank Grimm, 79, of Millersport, died Monday, July 16, 2012 at his home following an extended illness. He was born April 22, 1933 in Columbus, the son of the late Francis R. and Celia (Bray) Grimm.He was a 1952 graduate of Columbus West H.S., and served honorably in the US Navy during the Korean conflict. He retired after many years with the Columbus Fire Department. After his retirement, he was a member of the Millersport V.F.D. and also served as the zoning inspector for Walnut Township in Fairfield County.Frank enjoyed working on small engines and loved helping others. He also enjoyed local politics.He is survived by his loving family: his wife, Margaret (Adams), who he married on July 28, 1956; his children: Theresa Foster, Christine Morgan (John Travis) and Frank Chip (Sherry) Grimm, all of Millersport; grandchildren: Frank (Jessica) Grimm and Nick (Jessica) Grimm, who are both serving in the US Air Force, Kyle and Alexandria Foster and Mindy Morgan; great-grandchildren Landon, Tatum and Keagan.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother William Grimm.His family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 18th , 2012 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at The Millersport home of the Hoskinson-Schoedinger Funeral & Cremation Service, 11544 Summerland Beach Rd, where funeral services will be held Thursday, July 19th at 10:00 A.M. with Rev Fr. William B Ferguson as celebrant.
