Franklin Delano "Frank" Sanford

A funeral service celebrating the life of Franklin Delano Sanford, age 65, of Newark, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Wayt officiating. Burial will take place in Wilson Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark.Frank was born May 14, 1950 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Harold H. and Erma E. (Shufelt) Sanford. He passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio).Frank was retired from LICCO and participated in activities and events at The Gathering Place and the Center for Disabilities Services. He loved playing records on his record player and enjoyed eating pizza and chips and taking leisurely car rides in the community, shopping and going on vacation.He will be fondly remembered by his roommates, Robert Spellman and Kellie Bowling; his family of staff at Consumer Support Services; many friends at The Gathering Place and LICCO-Licking County Board of Developmental Disabilities; brothers and sisters, David Sanford, Donald Sanford, Terry Sanford and Cathy Sanford, all of Toledo, and Barb Sanford of Nevada; uncles, Elton Sanford and Harley Sanford of Florida and Bob Sanford of Sylvania; and many nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Sanford.Memorial contributions may be made to theLicking County Board of Developmental Disabilities, 116 North 22nd Street, Newark, OH 43055.Criss Wagner Hoskinson is honored to care for Frank.
