Franklin E. Frank Barrick, age 69, of Newark, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio). Frank was born April 23, 1946 in Newark, Ohio to the late Harold and Annabell (Hupp) Barrick.A veteran of the United States Navy, Frank faithfully served his country during Vietnam. He retired from the City of Newark Water Department after 25 years of service. Frank enjoyed golfing, fishing and bowling and was an avid football fan of the OSU Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Bengals. He was known for always telling stories and jokes.He is survived by four daughters, Angela Crisp (Julius Heflin) and Nikki Barrick, all of Newark, Dusty (Jeremy) Fields of Zanesville and Jennifer (Rob) Stolte of Newark; special nephew, Lil Mike Barrick of Newark; girlfriend, Marcia Chism of Newark; grandchildren, James Shaw III, Kyle Barrick, Aaron Crisp, Shawn Stolte, Treston Barrick, Shayna Stolte, Caleb Crisp, Cassandra Crisp, Seth Stolte, Alex Fields, Shanoah Patterson, Nevaeh Heflin and Autumn Barrick; great-grandchildren, Nyah Bryant, Treston Barrick II, Josiah Barrick, Shawn Stolte, Jr., Alex Webb, Blaze Webb and Evelette Stolte; sisters and brothers, JoAnn Rice of Newark, Mike (Sue) Barrick, Sr., Jack Barrick, Debbie (Jim) Moulden and Diana Lynn Vlachos, all of Newark, and Bobby Ray (Loretta) Walters of Panama City, FL; many nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Shawna Shipley; and a grandson, Damien Troy Crisp.Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, September 27, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street, Newark. Military honors will be observed at 5 p.m. by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home is honored to care for Frank and his family.
