Franklin L. Murray

A funeral service celebrating the life of Franklin L. Murray, age 77, of Hebron, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 5, at the Kirkersville home of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service with Pastor Greg Sheets officiating. Burial will take place in Kirkersville Cemetery where military honors will be observed by the Licking County Veterans Alliance. Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.Franklin was born June 26, 1937 in Weeksbury, Kentucky to the late Walter A. and Dorothy L. (Johnson) Murray. He passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at his home.Franklin was a veteran of the United States Navy. He retired in 1997 from Lucent Technologies where he had been employed for 36 years. He enjoyed fishing and was a fan of the Cincinnati Reds and the Bengals.He is survived by a son, Frankie L. (Crystal) Murray of Etna; daughters, Robin T. (Jim) Huey of Newark, Beth A. (Don) Ulry of Whitehall and Lisa L. (Joe) Walters of Newark; eighteen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ruby (Syl) Gunter of Camden; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Earleen (Wells) Murray, on July 13, 1999.Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Diabetes Association.Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service is honored to care for the Murray family.
