Franklin Eugene Stephenson

Franklin E.” Frank” Stephenson, 91, of Hebron, passed away at his home on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, with his family at his side. Following an extended illness. He was born in Murray City, on July 20, 1931, the son of the late Clifford and Cleo (Brunton) Stephenson. He served honorably in the US Air Force from 1951 to 1955, and then went to work at Owens Corning Fiberglas in Newark, for the next 38 years. Along with his wife, they loved to Bowl.

Survived by his wife of 67 years and 9 months, Mary Ellen (Lundquist), whom he married on November 13, 1954; his son Jim (Monica) Stephenson, daughters Sharol Stephenson, Barb Brooks; his 5 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; along with his brothers Wayne and Kermit Stephenson. Several nieces and nephews also survive him. His feline companion Lacey will also miss him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant son Lonnie in 1958, and his sister Mary Kathryn Fidler, brother Clifford Dale Stephenson; one great grandson; and one great great grandson

Honoring Frank’s wishes, he will be cremated without any services and buried in the Kirkersville Cemetery.
