Freda Jacobs

A funeral service, celebrating the life of Alma Freda Jacobs, 57, of Hebron, will be held Monday, January 14, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of The Hoskinson Funeral Home, 285 E Main St in Kirkersville, with burial to follow at Kirkersville Cemetery.Pastor Brian Harkness and Chaplain Jeff Smith will officiate. Freda died early Thursday, January 10, 2013 at her residence, following an extended illness. She was born in Columbus on August 19, 1955, the daughter of the late Louis Frederick Loughman and Esther Louise Hinderlong Loughman of Hebron. She is a graduate of Lakewood H.S., class of 1973, COTC, Franklin University and Park College. A Registered Nurse, Freda worked at Licking Memorial Hospital for over 38 years in several departments, most recently surgery. She is a certified O.R. nurse, and holds a Masters Degree in Nursing Management. An active member of the Hebron Community, she is a member of the American Legion Post Auxillary, and Hebron Fire Sirens auxillary. She is survived by her loving family: which, in addition to her mother includes her husband Dennis, whom she married on May 28, 1972, her children Scott (Lana) Jacobs of Pickerington, Britney Jacobs of Hebron, brother Jerry (Annette) Price of Hebron, grandchildren Chris Barber and Kaley Jacobs; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by an infant grandson Dakota Scott Jacobs. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 13, 2013 from 4:30 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home, 285 East Main St in Kirkersville.
