Freda Lasure

A funeral mass of the resurrection will be held on Monday, April 20, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Buckeye Lake, with burial following at Kirkersville Cemetery,for Freda Christine Lasure, 85, of Hebron, who died Wednesday, April 15, 2015, following an extended illness. Freda was born June 29, 1929, in Summerfield, Ohio; the daughter of the late Francis and Marie (Noll) Sorg.She was retired from Ohio Bell, and enjoyed volunteer work at Licking Memorial Hospital and working on the election board during her retirement. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at Buckeye Lake.She is survived by her sons Doug (Dawn) Lasure of Vero Beach, Florida, Gary of Newark and Kris (Shanna) of Hebron; grandchildren Douglas Jr., Olivia, Gabrielle, Zach and Shalee; sisters Gerry Hannahs, Lucille Vaughn, Ginny (Roy) Nutt and brother Ray (Jan) Sorg, sister-in-law Donna Sorg, along with many nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Frank in 1988, brother Cletus Sorg and sister Mary Lou Cochran.The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 19, 2015, from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. at the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral & Cremation Service.The family prefers that memorials be directed to the Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio, PO Box 430, Newark, Ohio 43058.An online guest register and video tribute are available at hoskinsonfuneral.comHoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service, Kirkersville, is honored to care for Fredas family.
