Gary Lee Fannin

Gary Lee Fannin, 62, of Newark, died Friday, January 20, 2023, at his home. He was born June 23, 1960 in Mansfield, OH to the late Carl and Iona (Harmon) Fannin. Gary was a faithful member of Grace Pointe Community Church of Utica where he was active in Bible study groups. He was a wonderful brother and loved spending time with his nieces and nephews and watching them grow up. Gary was a joyous man who was loved by family and friends in Mansfield, Kentucky, and the surrounding area. He is survived by his brother, Philip Eugene Fannin; sister, Karla Jean (Kevin) Redman; nieces and nephews, Andrew Mark (Amber) Benner, Joel Stephen Benner, Kyle Jordan (Shavonna) Benner, Abby Jean Benner, Heather Nicole (Wes) Fannin, and Justin Philip (Kaylissa) Fannin; 10 great nieces and nephews; and extended family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rebecca Fannin. Memorial contributions may be made in Gary’s memory to the Grace Pointe Community Church of Utica, 892 E. Columbus Rd., Utica, OH 43080. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 26, from 4-6 pm at the Grace Pointe Community Church, 892 E. Columbus Rd., Utica, where the funeral service will follow at 6:00 pm with Pastor Brad Kittle officiating.
