Gary E. Garrabrant, Jr., age 50, of Newark, passed away at Hospice of Central Ohio at The OSU Wexner Medical Center on February 5, 2023. He was born in Newark, Ohio on January 9, 1973 to the late Gary E. Garrabrant, Sr. and Diane (Wilson) Wunder. Prior to retirement, Gary was a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed woodworking and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. Most important was the time he spent with his loving wife, children, grandchildren, dogs and friends. Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Lori (Nelson) Garrabrant, whom he married March 26, 1999; sons, Derrick J. Garrabrant, Justin L. (Ally) Garrabrant and Jordan L. (Bryanna) Garrabrant; grandchildren, Devan, Jamya, Landen “Sticky”, Tianna, Amaya, Derrick Jr. and Cameron; sisters, Jayla (Dustin) Adams, Kendra Lewallen, Shanna Buck, Shona Farmer, Shannon Rector and Robyn Sattelmyer; step-mothers, Joddie Garrabrant and Pam Morningstar; close friends, Scott (Monica) Garette and Tracy (Charity) Prince; dogs, Gunner, Tucker and Hunter; and many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Kelli Mettler; and step-father, Lyle Wunder.
