Gary Holobaugh

Gary C. Holobaugh, 61, of Millersport, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at his home. He was born on December 15, 1952 in Columbus, son of the late Charles and Joann (Darling) Holobaugh. Gary loved camping, boating, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed the time he spent with friends at the Buckeye Lake V.F.W. Post 1388, where he was a life member. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. during the Vietnam War. In 2014, he retired from Herman Falter Meat Packing Company after 35 years of faithful service. He was also a life member of the AMVETS Post 51 in Thornport.Gary took great pride in helping those in need.He is survived by his loving family: sons, Bob (Julie) Holobaugh and Gary Holobaugh; grandchildren, Rielle, Jennifer, and Brendan; his brother, John Holobaugh; aunt, Sandy (Dick) Wilcox; cousins, Bob (Brandi) Harlow and Debbie (Mike) Lagozzo; beloved dog, Muffin; as well as many great friends.In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by a daughter, Victoria L. Adkins.A receiving of friends celebrating Garys life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at the Buckeye Lake V.F.W. Post 1388, where Full Military Honors will be observed.
