Dan Sanders

George Daniel “Dan” Sanders of Granville, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at the age of 73. He was born on December 20, 1951, in Morgantown, West Virginia, to the late George W. Sanders and Lorine (Hundley) Vincent.

 Dan dedicated his career as an auditor with Lucent Technologies. He was a proud member of American Legion Post #756, the National Rifle Association (NRA), Life long Member of the USPSA, and the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA).

 He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 49 years, Rose (Holter) Sanders; his daughters, Valerie Vannelli and Diana Sharrer; and his cherished grandchildren, Dominic Sharrer; Vincent, Sofia, Julianna, and Mia Vannelli. He is also survived by his brothers, David (Lori) Sanders, Kevin (Jules) Sanders, and Jon Paul (Heather) Vincent; his step-sister, Charlotte Stygler; and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by his step-brothers, Bud Vincent, Jr. and Bobby Vincent.

Family and friends will call on Wednesday, February 19, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Kirkersville Chapel of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, located at 285 E. Main St., Kirkersville. The family will also receive visitors one hour prior to the funeral service on Thursday, February 20, at the funeral home. The service will begin at 11:00 a.m., Following the service, all are invited to join the family for a luncheon at Outville Presbyterian Church, 6463 Outville Rd., Pataskala, Ohio. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dan’s honor to Shriners Hospitals for Children, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or the American Legion National Trail Post #756, Hopewell.
