George Albert Sites

George Albert Sites, age 44 of Somerset, passed away Friday, July 2, 2021 at the James at OSU. He was born December 6, 1976 in Lancaster, to the late Lawrence J. (Shorty) and Lillian O. (Myers) Sites. He was a 1995 graduate of Liberty Union H.S., He was a loving husband, father, uncle and a special friend to many.

George enjoyed coaching for Sheridan Biddy League Football. Member of Union local #18 of Operating Engineers, Columbus.  George loved to Bowl, was an avid Reds, Browns and Buckeyes fan. He also enjoyed Hunting.

He is survived by his wife Colleen (Mulcahy) Sites,whom he married on March 8, 2003; his children Caroline, Hunter and Jack; siblings Richard (Janet) Sager, Marcia (Tim) Carpenter, Loretta (Tim) Megahan Gary (Sandi) Sites, Larry (Kate) Sites and Beth (Todd) Walton, many nieces and nephews who thought the world of him, in-laws Tom and Debbie Mulcahy, sisters and brothers-in-law Erin (Chuck) Cook, Katie (Shaun) Hochradel, Steven ( Heather) Mulcahy and Ryan ( Amy) Mulcahy; and so many special friends.

The family prefers that memorial contributions in George’s memory be directed to : The Sites Children Education Fund c/o Peoples National Bank, Thornville. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 4 to 8 pm at the Thornville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, 56 South Main Street, Thornville. Private family inurnment will follow at a later date.
