George A. Traicoff

A graveside funeral service, celebrating the life of George A. Traicoff, Jr., age 84 of Newark, will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery, with Mark Hartsough officiating. Visitation will be held at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, on Monday, June 5th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. George was born in Hebron, Ohio on September 14, 1938 to the late George A. Sr. and Geneva O. (Kirkendall) Traicoff. He passed away at Licking Memorial Hospital on June 1, 2023. Prior to retirement, he worked as a technician specialist for GE Super Abrasives for over 20 years. He was a classic car enthusiast and enjoyed racing cars. Most important in his life was the time he spent with his loving family and friends. Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Mary E. (Kneller) Traicoff, whom he married May 29, 1965; and daughters, Beth A. (Doug) Pheneger and Kimber Traicoff. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Anita Prehm. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of George to the National Kidney Foundation or the American Diabetes Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
