George A. Williams, Jr.

  George A. Williams, Jr., was born in Menasha, Wisconsin on March 18, 1946 to the late George A. Sr. and Laura (Adams) Williams.  He passed away at Licking Memorial Hospital on October 25, 2019. George proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp.  Prior to retirement, he was a construction superintendent for over 40 years, and was also the lead carpenter at Unique Finds in Thornport.  George was an officer at the Thornville Moose Lodge #2434 and former commander at Thornville AMVETS Post #51.  He enjoyed wood working, bird watching and was a cat lover. Survivors include his loving wife of 44 years, Patti (Recker) Williams, whom he married May 31, 1975; children, Shane Williams, Sheila Watson, Shad Williams, Matthew (Allison) Williams and Melissa (Charles) McDonnell; brother, Lewis Williams; seven grandchildren; and numerous grand puppies and grand kitties. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters. At George’s request, no services will be held.
