Georgine Hatem Camp, 84, of Harbor Hills, formerly of New Lexington, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 22, 2018 at the home of her daughter, following an extended illness. She was born in New Lexington, on March 29, 1934, the daughter of the late Moneer and Nellie Hatem. She was a graduate of St. Aloysius H.S., class of 1952, and worked as a bookkeeper. She was a good cook who enjoyed cooking and caring for her family. Georgine was a former member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Buckeye Lake.
She is survived by her loving family: her husband Gary, whom she married on May 12, 1958; her daughter Teresa Best of Harbor Hills; her sons John and James Camp; her grandchildren Katie, Abby and Carson; her three great-grandchildren; along with her sisters Rosemary (Russell) Allen and Mary Jo (Douglas) Shackleford and her brothers George, Joe and Junior Hatem.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Ray and John Hatem.
Honoring Georgine’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.
The family prefers that memorials be directed to the Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio, P.O. Box 430, Newark, Ohio 43058.
