Gerald A. "Gary" Brown

A graveside funeral service for Gerald A. Gary Brown, age 60, of Newark will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Pastor Roger Morgan, Sr. officiating.Military honors will be observed by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.Gary was born in Lancaster, Ohio on April 30, 1957 to the late Marvin Nile Brown and Goldie (Oliver) Brown Little. He passed away at the Selma Markowitz Care Center on May 7, 2107.Gary proudly served his country in the United States Army. Prior to retirement, he was a line cook with Bob Evans Restaurant for many years. He attended the Old Country Church; was a former member of the Newark Eagles and he enjoyed fishing and working on his vans.Survivors include his loving wife of nearly 40 years, Patricia Pat (Harper) Brown, whom he married May 13, 1979; son, Marvin E. (Stephanie) Brown; brother, Bob (Linda) Brown; sister, Marvella Bullock; grandchildren, Christina Raylynn Brown and Austin Lee Brown; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for Gary and the Brown family.
