Geraldine Short Lacey

Funeral Services celebrating the life of Geraldine Short Lacey, 94, of Reynoldsburg, will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, February 21, 2022, with visitation to precede the funeral service from 12:00 noon at the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation service, with burial to follow in the Kirkersville Cemetery.

Geraldine passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 16, 2022. She was born in Lancaster on August 13, 1927, the daughter of the late Leroy and Bessie (Spangler) Short. She retired after thirty-five years as an assembler at A.T.&. T./Lucent technologies in Columbus.

She loved shopping and eating out, spending time with her family at get-togethers. She demonstrated a strong work ethic, both at home and at work.

She is survived by her loving family: children Gary L. Lacey, Linda Cracraft and Caren Williams; her seven grandchildren including Heidi Wooten who was a primary caregiver along with her aunt Caren; her 15 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Dickie and Donnie Short, Marvine Beatty, Margorie Peace and Wanda Moore, along with her son David Lacey.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude for the excellent care given by the skilled workers with Ohio Health Hospice.
