Gertrude "Trudy" Wright

Gertrude Trudy Wright, age 75, of Heath, passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio). Trudy was born January 22, 1943 in Long Branch, New Jersey and grew up in Highlands, New Jersey. Trudy received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Trenton State College in New Jersey and received a Master of Education degree from Ashland University. A beloved teacher at Northridge High School, Trudy taught English there for over 20 years. Following her retirement, Trudy enjoyed volunteering with numerous charities including the Trinity Episcopal Church, The Turban Project and The Davis Shai House. She loved spending time with her family, reading, crafts, volunteering and traveling. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Eugene R. Gene Wright; daughter, Lori (Jon) Radabaugh and Lisa (Joe) Hipple; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a huge, extended, loving family. Trudy was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Hazel (White) Feil; and her brother, Charles Feil.Friends may call from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. and 2 p.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street in Newark. Private inurnment will take place in Homer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the following organizations to which Trudy was so devoted: The Turban Project (www.theturbanproject.com), Trinity Episcopal Church, 76 East Main Street, Newark, OH 43055 or the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research, P.O.
