Gladys Mae Mcnemar

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Gladys Mae McNemar, 76, of Newark, will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor Wes Humble officiating. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, on Tuesday, December 26th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Gladys was born in Zanesville, Ohio on April 7, 1947 to the late Amos A. and Edna Ellen (Sweet) Wilson. She passed away at the Laurels of Heath on December 21, 2023. Gladys was a devoted homemaker to her family. She enjoyed crocheting, flower gardening, and loved spending time with her loving family, animals and friends. Survivors include her children, Howard J. (Toni) McNemar and Juanita (Steven) Taylor; grandchildren, Andy (Alex) Hart Jr., Shianne Hart, Dakota Hart and Mary Lichwa-McNemar; sister, Carol Wilson; brothers, Bob (Margaret) Wilson and Jeff (Pauline) Wilson; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kemper Earl McNemar; daughters, Mary McNemar and Caroll Lee McNemar; and a brother, Tom Wilson.
