A funeral service celebrating the life of Glendell Dee “Glen” Newlon, 60 of Newark, will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. at the Christian Life Center, 665 Linnville Road, Heath, with Pastor Michael Ensey officiating. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Saturday, from 3:00 o'clock PM to 4:00 o'clock PM. Glen was born in Auburn, WV on November 24, 1962 to the late Dee and Genevia Gail (McCormick) Newlon. He passed away at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio, on March 13, 2023. Glen was a member of the Christian Life Center in Heath. He enjoyed riding his bicycle, fishing, the great outdoors, along with listening to rock and Christian music. Most important was all of the time he spent with the love of his life, his fiancé, Lisa Ball. Survivors include his fiancé, Lisa Ball; siblings, Angie Openo, Roger (Anita) Linger, Donna (Jay) Allen, Patty (Steve) Riffle, Vernon (Ginny) Newlon, Jim (Tami) Newlon, Tim Newlon, Sr., Joe (Roberta) Newlon, Kim Newlon, Mike (Becky) Newlon, Rachel (Damian) Shackleford and Jason Newlon, Sr.; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one niece and three nephews. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Glen to the Christian Life Center, 665 Linnville Road, Heath, Ohio 43056. Envelopes will be available at the church.
