Gloria Grace Knoff

A funeral service celebrating the life of Gloria G. Knoff, age 85, of Columbus, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 20, at the Kirkersville home of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service with Pastor Brian Stout officiating. Burial will follow in Kirkersville Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home, 285 East Main Street in Kirkersville.

Gloria was born October 5, 1933 in Baltimore, Ohio to the late Clyde Irvin and Mildred Etheleen (Miller) Sager. She passed away on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Mount Carmel East Hospital.

Gloria was a 1951 graduate of Etna High School. She retired in 2009 from Big Lots Corporate Headquarters where she had been employed for 42 years. Gloria enjoyed Bluegrass music, tending to her yard and flowers and loved watching the birds, especially hummingbirds. An avid sports fan, Gloria enjoyed watching the OSU Buckeyes and the Steelers. She loved to decorate for the holidays and loved to bake. She was especially known for the giant trays of Christmas cookies and fudge that she made for her family members each year.

She is survived by four daughters, Linda Redkey of Hillsboro, Patty Beshears of Columbus, Heidi (Steve) Lilley of Howard and Breena (John) Sanborn of Fredericktown; grandchildren, Michael (Jean) Clifton, Jason (Jessica) Clifton, Anthony Damoiseaux, Megan Beshears, Travis Beshears, Todd (Candace) Lilley, Kyle (Rachel) Lilley, Steven (Ashley) Lilley, Jr., Amber (Clay) Hilton, Shane (Jennifer) Sanborn and Rhonda (Emerson) Yepez; great-grandchildren, Taylor (James), Nick, Miles, Christopher, Lucas, Gracie, Tray, Marques, Nora, Caroline, Jase, Sierra, Savanna, Lincoln, Brooklynn, Bryden, Mila, Emma and E.J.; great-great-granddaughter, Ava; sister, Donna (Butch) Stout of Hebron; sisters-in-law, Jackie Sager of Pataskala and Dixie Sager of Kirkersville; special son, Lloyd Clifton; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Rodney Sanborn; son-in-law, Christian Loren Redkey; and two brothers, Gene Sager and Ron Sager.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that you please do a random act of kindness for someone in Gloria's memory.
