A funeral service celebrating the life of Gregory Lee Greg Lothes, age 70, of Hebron, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19, at the Kirkersville Chapel of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens.Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, June 18, at the funeral home, 285 East Main Street in Kirkersville. Greg was born June 26, 1947 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Edgar Lee and Eloise Elizabeth (Seymour) Lothes. He passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Fairfield Medical Center. Greg was a 1965 graduate of Lakewood High School. A carpenter by trade, he was the owner and operator of Greg Lothes General Contractor. Greg was a member of the NRA, a life-member of the North American Hunting Club and was a volunteer fireman in Hebron where he had also served on the village council and the water board. He loved being outdoors, camping, hunting, fishing and riding four wheelers. He also loved animals and was known to feed a cat or two. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Beth Ann (Lawrence) Lothes, whom he married May 17, 1986; daughters, Cindy Lee Beckstrom, Corey Ann Lothes and Shayla Lee Lothes, all of Hebron; grandchildren, Jordan Michelle Weekes, Justin Craig Beckstrom, Tyler Gregory Beckstrom, Madison Ann Beckstrom and Breyden Robert Beckstrom; great-grandchildren, Brynlee Yvonne Beckstrom, McKinley Elizabeth Weekes and Linkin Justin Beckstrom; sister-in-law, Judy Lothes of Harbor Hills; nephews, Chad Allen Lothes and Aaron Lee Lothes; and his special dog, Riley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Ray Lothes. Memorial contributions may be made to the Altercare Thornville Resident Activity Fund, 14100 Zion Road, Thornville, OH 43076. Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service in Kirkersville is honored to care for Greg and his family.
