Harold Vernon Cochran

Memorial Services celebrating the life of Harold Vernon Cochran, 87, of Thornville, will be held Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Thornville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, with Pastor Doug Lynn as celebrant. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until time of funeral services. Due to COVID 19, please wear masks at all times in the funeral home and practice social distancing.

Harold passed away early Tuesday evening, April 20, 2021 in Lancaster following a brief illness. He was born in Maiden Springs, Virginia, the son of the late David Willis Cochran and Eliza (Witt) Cochran. A high school graduate, he served honorably in the US Air Force, and retired after 34 years of service at the Newark AFB.

Harold was a loyal member of South Shore Ministries in Thornville.

He is survived by his loving wife Phyllis (Evans) whom he married on November 16, 1960; his son Ronald Jay (Krista) Cochran; his grandchildren David (Danielle), Matthew, Eliza and Abigail; his brothers Reece, Clarence, Thomas and his sister Shirley Fuller; and his great granddaughter Rosaleigh.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Harold Leon Cochran.
