Harold Eugene "Butch" Bailey, Sr.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Harold Eugene Butch Bailey, age 68, of Newark, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 20, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home. Friends may call from 2-3 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street in Newark. Harold was born April 23, 1949 in Newark, Ohio to the late Harold M. Bailey and Edna M. (Tindle) Bailey Conkle. He passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center in Newark. Harold was a 1967 graduate of Newark High School and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a driver for Big O Refuse for a number of years. He enjoyed working on cars, fishing and loved to watch wrestling and OSU football. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Pamela D. (Walters) Bailey, whom he married October 12, 1968; and by four children, Paul (Tracy) Bailey, Teresa (Brent) Fraley, Harold E. (Regina) Bailey, Jr. and Amanda Haynes (fianc, Tim Dzierwa); ten grandchildren, Britney Young, Rachel Fraley, Brandon Bailey, Logan Bailey, Courtney Fraley, Paige Bailey, Lucas Bailey, Eathin Dzierwa, Katelyn Haynes and Emmalyn Haynes; brothers, David Bailey and Rick Bailey; sisters, Sara (Gary) Cline and Rose (Ed) Slack; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Virginia Bailey; and by two brothers, Ron and Gary Bailey; and a sister, Connie Bailey.
