A funeral service for Harold H. Mohr, age 75, of Thornville, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 29, at the Thornville home of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service with Pastor Steve Osborne officiating. Burial will take place in Jacksontown Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, February 28, at the funeral home, 56 South Main Street, Thornville.Harold was born July 23, 1940 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Harold and Sarah (Ebright) Mohr. He passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.Harold had been employed by the Shelly Company, ODOT, ODNR and had been self-employed as a consultant for the past seventeen years. He had been president of Licking County Right to Life and had been involved with Lakewood Youth Athletics. He enjoyed golfing, skiing and cooking and was known for his sausage gravy and biscuits.He is survived by his wife, Deryl J. (Deal) Mohr, whom he married June 17, 1961;six children, Kim (Mike) Bourgeois, Daphne Higgins, Christa (Chad) Day, David (Cindy) Mohr, Jon (Stacy) Mohr and Matthew Mohr; fifteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Jean Longwell and Elaine Miller, both of Columbus and Clara (Frank) Torres of Granville; and nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Loretta Snyder; and his beloved fur-buddy, Rascal.Memorial contributions may be made to the Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio,P.
