Funeral services for Harold H. Weber, 84, of Thornville, will be held Sunday, July 2, 2017, at 4:00 p.m. in the Thornville Chapel of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, 56 S. Main St in Thornville. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4:00 p.m. immediately prior to the funeral services.Harold passed away on Monday morning, June 26, 2017, at his home following an extended illness. He was born January 5, 1933, in Manassas, Virginia, the son of the late Max and Pearl (Russell) Weber. Harold served honorably in the US Air Force, and was a retired electrician, from Lucent Technologies in Columbus with 34 years of service. He loved fishing, bowling, camping, gardening and he was an amateur photographer.He attended Lighthouse Memorial Church in Millersport, and was a member of the Amvets in Thornport, VFW, Millersport American Legion and Reynoldsburg Eagles.He was also a volunteer with Big Brothers/Big Sisters. He is survived by his loving family: Wife Carolyn, children Barry E Weber, William Lash, Christina (William)Scanlon, Kathie(Jim) Warren, Timothy(Debbie) Lash, Rebecca(Doug) Evans, and Carol Trowbridge; his 28 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; his three brothers Harry, Max and Walter Weber; many nieces, nephews, and friends in Columbus and Thornville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 4 brothers and5 sisters.The family prefers that memorials be directed to Big Brothers/Big Sisters. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
