Funeral services, celebrating the life of Harold Dean Phipps, 70, of Hebron, will be held on Monday, July 19, 2021 in the First Baptist Church 525 S 30th St in Heath at 4:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 p.m. until time of the funeral services. Harold passed away early Friday morning July 16, 2021 at his home in Hebron. He died just like he lived his life, with his best friend of 52 years, nestled at his side. He was born May 25, 1951 in Portsmouth, the son of Grenville A and Bernice (Kegley) Phipps. Harold was a hardworking, dedicated family man. Harold worked for many years as a maintenance engineer and together with his wife owned and operated rental properties. He was a dedicated, active 48 year member of the Heath Baptist Church where he helped keep up the grounds, ushered and taught Sunday school. Harold had many interests, he enjoyed motorcycles, and he was a photographer and had his own dark room. He loved his family and regular family vacations to the beach. He also enjoyed family picnics during the summer months. Harold lived his life for and with his family. They surrounded him with their love at the end of his life. He truly adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren. His eyes would light up when he saw them. He is survived by his loving family: his wife Charlotte (Retherford) whom he was with since she was 12, his daughters Glennda (Travis) Riehl, Heather(Barry) Brumagin and Velvet (Sean) Davis; his son Harold Dean (Trisha) Phipps; his eight grandchildren: Taylor (Tylor), Eric, Brooke (Curtis), Mikaela (Jeff), Tiffany (Kaleb), Kyle, Xander and Zeva; 6 great-grandchildren Thomas, Emma, Lily, Frank, Beau and Case; along with his sisters Diana (Gary) Calton and Kathie (Glenn) Fields and his brother Tim (Lisa) Phipps; along with several nieces and nephews.
