Harold Wayne Piper

A funeral service celebrating the life of Harold Wayne Piper, age 69, of Millersport, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 5, at the Kirkersville Chapel of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service with Clifford Mason as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Millersport Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, at the funeral home, 285 East Main Street in Kirkersville.

Harold was born August 11, 1953 in Lancaster, Ohio. He passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023 at Altercare Newark North.

Harold was a 1971 graduate of Lancaster High School. He was employed with Lancaster Glass for 33 years and had been the American Glassworkers Union President for 15 years. He was then employed at the Ohio State House in maintenance and groundskeeping. Harold enjoyed going to classic car shows and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Ann E. (Keller) Piper; daughter, Leah Piper of Columbus; and three grandchildren, Mariah Huntsman, Makayla Huntsman, and Sadie Fayerweather; a brother, Jim (Anita) Senig of Circleville; sisters, Linda Abram and Tanya; sisters-in-law, Frances Piper, Betsy Senig and Darlene Senig, all of Lancaster; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Helen and John Senig; brothers, Gary Piper and Michael Senig; and step-brother, Louis Senig.
