A memorial service celebrating the life of Harry Earl Williams II, age 88, of Newark, will be held on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Newark Church of Christ, 179 OBannon Ave., Newark, with Pastor Ralph Nethers officiating.Earl was born in Denver, Colorado on March 1, 1928 to the late Harry Earl and Anna N. (Bailey) Williams. He passed away on September 1, 2016 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio.Earl proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Prior to retirement, he worked as a construction worker for many years. Earl was an avid fisherman, enjoyed working in the yard, building bird houses, playing euchre and spending time with family and friends.Survivors include his loving companion, Jean Holley; children, Peggy Bowles, Daniel Williams and Doug Williams; step-children, Tim (Teri) Dunlap, Kay (Bruce) Lines, David Dunlap, Linda (Rod) Bend and Brenda Dunlap; 16 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Harry Hap Williams III; and four sisters.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for Earl and his family.
