A funeral service celebrating the life of Harry J. Bubba Bolton, 70, of Newark, will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 8:00 p.m. at the Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, with Pastor Matthew VanWinkle officiating. Military honors will be observed by the Licking County Veterans Alliance. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, on Wednesday, prior to the funeral service, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Masonic Services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Bubba was born in Newark, Ohio on July 3, 1947 to the late Harry G. and Betty (Harris) Bolton. He passed away at Heath Nursing Care Center on April 15, 2018. Bubba proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Prior to retirement, he worked for THK Manufacturing of America. He was a member of the Newark Masonic Lodge #97. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, traveling, playing softball and baseball. Survivors include his son, James C. (Angie) Bolton; brothers, Robert (Sandi) Bolton and Richard (Becky) Bolton; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Burchard. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Bubba to the American Diabetes Association, 471 E.
