A graveside inurnment celebrating the life of Harry Nelson Lorentz, age 79, of Newark, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 2, at Woodlawn Cemetery, 603 Pershing Road in Zanesville with Elder Terrence Brown officiating. Military honors will be observed. Harry was born March 23, 1938 in Buckhannon, West Virginia. He passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at his home. Harry was a veteran of the United States Navy. He retired from Brockway Glass where he had been employed for 47 years. Harry enjoyed assembling models, fishing and camping. He is survived by a daughter, Melissa Boyd (Scott Brewer) of Newark; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Linda L. (Cramer) Lorentz, who passed away in July of 2012; and by a son, Charles Allen Lorentz, Sr.; a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Glosser; his mother, Carrie (White) Lorentz; and several brothers.Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross. www.RedCross.org Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home is honored to care for Harry and his family.
