Hazel Hempleman

Hazel Irene Zollinger Hempleman, 92, of Millersport, died peacefully on Saturday, April 6, 2013, in Heath, following an extended illness. She was born September 12, 1920, in Millersport, the daughter of the late James Tenny and Minnie (Bope) Zollinger.A graduate of Walnut Township H.S., she also graduated from Lancaster Business College and worked for The Bureau of Unemployment, Morris & Ross (now Borden) and retired from the Walnut Township Schools as Clerk of the Board of Education. She was a member of the Alpha Mothers Club and Millersport United Methodist Church.She married Clarence Hempleman on April 13, 1947, and he preceded her in death on May 19, 1995.She is survived by her loving family: sons James T. (Sally) Hempleman of Millersport, Roger L. (Miki) Hempleman of Newark, daughter Pamela S. (Richard) Stotts of Hebron, brothers Ralph (Patty) Zollinger, Fred Zollinger, and Charles (Carolyn) Zollinger, all of Millersport; along with her 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents and husband Clarence, she was preceded in death by Gene & Mildred Zollinger, Rex & LeAnn Zollinger, Harold Zollinger, Jack Zollinger, Francis Zollinger, Lois & John Tritsch, Gene Zollinger Jr. and Robert Zollinger.Honoring Hazels request, there will be no visitation, family graveside services will be held in Millersport Cemetery, followed by a memorial service, celebrating her life, at Millersport United Methodist Church, Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., with a luncheon reception to follow.Memorials may be directed to Tridia Hospice, 2215 City Gate Dr., Columbus, Ohio 43219, or FairHoPe Hospice, 282 Sells Rd., Lancaster, Ohio 43130.HOSKINSON Funeral & Cremation Service, Kirkersville, is honored to care for the Hempleman family.
