Hazel I. Stone

A funeral service celebrating the life of Hazel I. Stone, age 90, of Buckeye Lake, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 8, at the Kirkersville home of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service with Clifford Mason as Celebrant. Burial will take place in Newark Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7, at the funeral home, 285 East Main Street in Kirkersville. Hazel was born August 20, 1927 in Ansted, West Virginia to the late Henry and Mary (ONeil) Carver. She passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at the Heath Nursing Care Center. Hazel was a homemaker and enjoyed family time, cooking and listening to country music. She is survived by her children, Jennings E. Stone of Newark and Leona (Michael) Urbanski of Hilliard; grandchildren, Calvin Stone, Eric Stone and Ava Donovan; and many great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Stone, who passed away in 1982; by her brothers and sisters; and a grandson, Brent Michael Stone.
