A funeral service, celebrating the life of Heather Martin, 26, of Hebron, will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. in the Kirkersville United Methodist Church, with burial to follow in Kirkersville Cemetery.Heather died suddenly on Friday evening, September 29, 2017 on her way to the Emergency Room at Licking Memorial. Her family was with her on her final journey. She was born April 18, 1991, in Newark, the daughter of Harold Jeffrey and Christine Marie (Stacoffe) Martin. Heather was a 2009 graduate of Watkins Memorial H.S., where she was active in the band and drama programs. She was a 2013 graduate of Tiffin University, with a degree in Business. She was employed as a loan Processor with Pataskala bank, and had just transferred to Heartland Bank as a loan processor within the last month. Heather was an accomplished horsewoman. She was President of the Independent Contest Pleasure Horse Association in Licking Co, Alum with and advisor to the Silver Spurs 4-H club, Vice President of the Licking Co. Horse and Pony Council. Heather was a proud alumnus of the Dream Achievers 4-H club. She was a lifelong member of Kirkersville United Methodist Church. She is survived by her loving family, which in addition to her parents includes her sister Andrea, and brother Christopher (C.J.), grandparents Harold and Mary Jane Martin and Robert and Gertrude Stacoffe, her uncles Rob (Kim) Martin, and their daughter Jillian, Dave (Jody) Stacoffe, and their son Carson, aunts Angela (Jim) Dorenbusch, and their daughters Ana and Clarissa, Sharyn Stacoffe; along with many friends. Honoring Heather: the family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 4, 2017, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the family horse complex. Take St. Rt. #158 south from Kirkersville, and turn left on Palmer Road. Watch for signs and purple balloons. Casual clothing is appropriate for the visitation.Friends and family may make memorial contributions to the Heather Martin Scholarship Fund, C/O Heartland Bank, 44W Locust Street, Newark, 43055.
