Helen D. Nauer

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Helen D. Nauer, age 84, of Hebron, will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 10:30 am at the Kirkersville Chapel of Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Kirkersville Cemetery.Helen was born in Gratiot, Ohio on July 14, 1930 to the late Ernest Franklin and Marie Anna (Snider) Bowers. She passed away at the Selma Markowitz Care Center on October 5, 2014.Helen was a devoted homemaker. She worked for years at the Myers Hotel, Buckeye Diner, Cummins Ice Cream and Hebron Surplus. She enjoyed watching Big Time Wrestling and shopping, but most important in her life was spending time with her family, especially spoiling her grandchildren.Survivors include her daughter, Christina (Dan) Wright of Hebron; sons, Danny Bowers of Hebron, Kenney (Marjorie) Nauer of Hebron, James (Brenda) Nauer of Hebron, Tim Nauer of Hebron, Richard (Beth) Nauer of Hebron, Scott (Holli) Nauer of Cocoa Beach, FL, Dwayne Nauer of Hebron and Ty (Shelley) Nauer of Hebron; grandchildren, Kim Bickel, Robert Nauer, Katie Nauer, Jessie Nauer, Ian Nauer, Adam Nauer, Cody Nauer, Garrett Nauer and Spencer Nauer; great grandchildren, Audrey and Addison Bickel; brothers, Billy (Ruby) Bowers of Hebron, Eddie Bowers of Texas, and Roy Bowers of Belpre; sister, Joyce (Leland) Williams of Michigan; sister-in-law, Marilyn Bowers; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Oscar Nauer in 2005; brother, Bob Bowers; and sister, Velma Nethers.Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Helen to Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio.
