Helen Rosalee Hiles

September 8, 1931 — October 28, 2020

On October 28, 2020, Helen Rosalee Hiles passed from this life to her eternal life with God. She was 89 years old.

Helen was born and became a blessing to this world on September 8, 1931 in Cottageville, W.V., to the late Theodore R. and Freda M. (Casto) Dornon.

Helen was a woman of faith, a loving mother, grandmother and a friend and neighbor to many.

She was married to her sweetheart Charles (Chuck) Hiles Sr. for 40 years.

Helen had a vibrant, feisty spirit up to her final days.

She loved spending time with her family, friends and neighbors sitting on her porch.

She is survived by her son Charles (Cindy) Hiles of Newark, her daughter Nancy (Wayne) Troyer of Glenford; along with her 4 granddaughters: Shana Gordon, Carrie (Kris) Ford, Melissa (Rick) Nichols, Amanda (John) Howard; and her 8 great grandchildren.  Her brothers Bill Dornon (Penny) and Julian “Soup” Dornon; along with many nieces and nephews that she loved so very much.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, eldest son Robert Ray (Bobby) Hiles, and her brothers Larry, Roger “Bunk”, Fred and Robert Dornon.

Helen’s family will receive friends on Monday, November 2, 2020 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the Thornville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, 56 South Main Street in Thornville. Graveside funeral services will follow in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jacksontown with Pastor Paul Hansen as officiant.

Helen will be laid to rest next to her husband Charles Hiles, Sr.
