Helen L. Dickerson

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Helen L. Dickerson, age 97, of Newark, will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor Roger L. Decker officiating. Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery.Ms. Dickerson was born in Coshocton County, Ohio on October 8, 1916 to the late Joseph D. and Florence (Barcus) Dickerson. She passed away peacefully at Arlington Care Center on August 24, 2014.Prior to her retirement in 1979, she worked as a housekeeper for Licking Memorial Hospital for many years. She was a member of the Church of God, Gods Acres in Newark.Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Robert Dickerson, Helen Henry, Bette Hutchison, Sharon (John) Lahmon, Cindy Johnston and Eileen Paishom; sister-in-law, Kathryn Dickerson; and numerous great nieces and great nephews.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Blanche Dumm; brothers, Raymond Dickerson, Austin Dickerson and Pastor Herbert Dickerson.Friends may call at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for the Dickerson family.
