Helen Menter

Helen A. Menter, (93), of Thornville, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Altercare of Thornville.

She was born on February 15, 1932 in New Lexington, Ohio, to the late Patrick and Goldie (Spencer) Allen.

Helen was a homemaker who also worked outside the home. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, her glassware, baking and cooking. She was known for her delicious pies and was referred to as the "Pie Lady".

She is survived by her three children, Patricia (Menter) and her husband, John Bragg of New Kent, Virginia, Virginia Menter of Hebron, Ohio and Mark (Kenda) Menter of Newark, Ohio and three grandchildren, Daniel Menter, Dylan Menter and Cody (Zaide) Menter.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Menter was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Menter, two brothers, three sisters and one step-brother.

Family and Friends may call on Tuesday, April 15, from 10:00am until the time of Christian funeral service at 12:00pm at the Thornville Chapel of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Glenford, Ohio. The family extends an invite to the luncheon immediately after, at South Shore Ministries, 8335 Thorn TR 391, Thornville, Ohio.
