Henry Dale Porter

Funeral Services, celebrating the life of Henry Dale Porter, 81, of Hebron, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 2, 2024,  in the chapel of the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, with Clifford Mason as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Licking Cemetery, Hebron.  Friends may call on Monday evening, April 1, 2024 from 6-8 at the funeral home, 285 E Main Street in Kirkersville, where Hebron Lodge will have services at 7:45 p.m.

Henry passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 26, 2024. He was born in Lancaster on October 8, 1942, the son of the late Harry Dale and Mabel Gertrude (Groves) Porter. He graduated in the first class of Lakewood high school, class of 1960.

Henry was an active member of the Hebron community his entire life. He was the town Barber with his shop on Main Street, he also served as Mayor of Hebron, 1980-1984.  He was a member of the Hebron Masonic Lodge #116 and the Hebron Historical Society.  He also served as cemetery sexton at the Licking Cemetery for many years.

He is survived by his boys: Eric (Angela) Porter, Grant (Amy) Porter; his grandchildren Matthew (Jordan), Justin, Mark, Alex (Tabitha), Daniel Porter and Megan (Derek) Yahn; his great grandchildren Maxwell, Junie, Ava, Olivia, Luka, and Althea Porter.

The family prefers that memorial contributions, if desired, be directed to the Hebron Historical Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
