Herbert A Robinson

A funeral service, celebrating the life of Herbert A. Robinson, 93, Of Thurston, will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, August 4, 2023, in the chapel of the HOSKINSON Funeral home, 285 E Main St. In Kirkersville, with burial to follow in the Kirkersville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening, August 3 from 6-8 p.m.

Herb passed away on Monday Morning, July 31, 2023, in Columbus. He was born May 24, 1930, in Bloomingburg, Ohio, the son of the late Millard and Nevada (Dunaway) Robinson. He served honorably in the US Army during both the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam Era. He also worked as an Electrician.

He enjoyed boating, but his focus was visiting with and helping other people.

He is survived by his loving family: his children Elizabeth (Mark) Clapham, Barbara Robinson, Raymond (Margaret) Robinson, his brother, George Robinson, sister Nancy Chaffin, grandchildren Phillip (Sommer) Clapham, Stephen (Stacey) Clapham, Bethany (Mark) Swanson, Brooke (Anthony) Robinson, Olivia (Janson) Bowers and Andrew Robinson; great grandchildren Ashton, Jase, Lillian, Harper, Charlotte, Liberty and Lincoln; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Joyce, his sister Margaret Hardy, his brothers Gene, Edward,and Russell; sister-in-law Betty Robinson, sisters Betty Coey and Mary Jo Bucy; and brother-in-law Paul Hardy.
