Herman E. Farson, Sr.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Herman E. Farson, Sr., 74, of Newark, will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Sjostrand officiating. Burial will follow at Newark Memorial Gardens.Visitation will be held at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.Herman was born March 9, 1943 in Malta, Ohio to the late John William and Sarah (Matheney) Farson. He passed away on February 18, 2018 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio.Prior to retirement, Herman was a fork lift operator with Newark Electro Plating for over 35 years. He enjoyed watching football, baseball and especially enjoyed attending his grandchildrens sporting events and spending time with his loving family and friends.Survivors include his children, Ray (Lisa) Farson, Herman (SueAnn) Farson, Jr., Peggy Farson, Barbara (Ronald) Justice, Ann (Andrew) Smith and Tammy Farson; grandchildren, Latina (Paul) White, Joshua (Marcie) Justice, John Justice and Sarah Farson; brother, Ronald (Debra) Henderson; sister, Patricia Brown; five great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary E.
