Funeral services celebrating the life of Herman L Strohl, 91, of Thornville, will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Thornville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, 56 S. Main Street, with burial to follow in Lutheran Reformed Cemetery, Thornville.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Due to COVID 19, only twenty-five persons will be allowed in the funeral home at one time, please practice social distancing and masks must be worn in the funeral home.
Herman was born May 10, 1929, in Roseville, the son of the late Henry and Freda (Sloan) Strohl. He was retired from Kaiser Aluminum in Heath. He served honorably in the US Army, during the Korean conflict.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brothers Leonard, Lawrence, George and Kenneth; sisters Grace and Clara; sons Ricky and David.
Herman is survived by his wife of 66 years Marcella S. (Hinkle) Strohl of Thornville; daughter Karen (Naman) Sartin of Columbus; sons Timothy Strohl of Columbus, Michael Strohl of Zanesville, 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the caring staff at Brookdale Senior Living and Coler Hospice for their expert care of Herman.
